Firm Handshakes

Well I never thought my love for college football would bring me here. Seeing as this is my first post and I am going to be talking about college football and making picks, it is only fair to share how I faired last year.

Last Year:

I made a total of 127 total individual plays when it came to college football last year. Taking everything from over/unders to ML to the spread. Of those 127 picks, I won 70 and lost 57 earning a winning percentage of 55%.

It was a crazy year last year with Covid and the limited fans. But nonetheless there was still money to be made!

My strategy:

  • Do I do a deep dive into the statistics? No.
  • Do I run a lot of simulations? No.
  • Do I go by gut feeling and what I know as a former football guy? Yes.

I understand that this can be a big numbers game to people and they need to see the statistics into the plays they are making. Trust me I get it. But to me, at the end of the day, statistics can only tell you so much.

I can only hope you will stick around with me on the sideline as we watch the season unfold. Now lets pick some winners!
