Are you really gonna not take Army on September 11th? Army has gotten progressively better over the last few years and that offense is humming. It can be very hard for traditional defenses with only a week of preparation to stop a well executed triple option. And did I mention Saturday is September 11? USA Baby.

Oregon @ Ohio State

Oregon is on the road playing a tough OSU squad in the Shoe. . problem is, I was not impressed by the Ohio State QB at all. I am so accustomed to watching OSU have their way with their opponents on both sides of the ball. This Ohio State team is not like their teams in the past. And their defense was nothing to highlight either. Considering the poor QB play last week, I see Oregon coming into town in their sweet jerseys, confusing the QB and making big plays on defense.
Pick: I am taking Oregon +14.5.
Rutgers @ Syracuse

- Syracuse stinks this year.
- A spread of -2.5 is disrespectful for Rutgers
- Rutgers looked great as they whooped Temple last week
- Rutgers is wearing incredible tribute uniforms for 9/11.
Pick: I am taking Rutgers -2.5.
Mercer @ Alabama

Alabama wins this game big. Duh. But they will be up so big and put their subs in and start running the ball. +56.5 is such a large spread I can’t hardly believe it is real. Saban usually doesn’t beat opponents that badly. Or at least, they run the ball and put in subs in hopes the opposing team can get a few stops before it really turns into a bloodbath.
Pick: I am taking Mercer +56.5.
Iowa @ Iowa State

Iowa State I believe is ranked highest they have ever been in program history? I may be wrong on that so don’t quote me. But regardless, there is a lot of buzz and hype behind the Iowa State squad this year. And with Iowa coming into town after their thrashing of Indiana, this is going to be a must watch game. Iowa State did not look good last week but you know what? It is a new week. Iowa State is a real contender to make some noise this year and this is their put up or shut up game. At home, late afternoon, I believe Iowa State comes out in front of everyone and shows the College Football world they mean business.
Pick: I am taking Iowa State -4.5.
Texas @ Arkansas

Is Texas back? Is Arkansas for real this season? My answer for those questions is simple: maybe. With Texas and Steve Sarkisian though one thing is certain, their offense will score some points! Defensively I don’t think they can be dominant however. And I imagine they will not have the best time stopping Arkansas. I see Texas scoring a lot of points though. Hope we see a lot of touchdowns in this one!
Pick: I am taking Over 56.
NC State @ Mississippi State

NC State looked so darn good in their opener I think I am believing the hype around them this year. I think they travel down to Mississippi and showcase their offense weapons and put it on Mississippi State. I don’t think Mississippi State has the weapons on offense to keep up, or the dogs on defense to slow down that NC State offense. And no I am not letting my ACC pride get in the way of my thinking on this one.
Pick: I am taking NC State -1.5.
Appalachian State @ Miami

This is going to surprise some folks but this is going to be a fantastic game. App State has one hell of a defense and with an experienced QB and offensive weapons, Miami better be ready. After getting thrashed by Alabama I believe Miami is morally defeated already and is thinking App State will roll over. But that is not the case at all. I see a high scoring fight that ends in App State keeping this much closer than folks realizing. Hell they may even win this one outright.
Pick: I am taking Appalachian State +9.5 and over 54.5.
Mizzou @ Kentucky

I maybe have started to also believe the hype around UK’s new QB this season too. The UK offense was humming last year and I think they carry that momentum from last week into this weekend especially with a late night kickoff. A Kentucky team at home under the lights is a lot harder to beat than you would think. With UK on the up and up in the SEC, this is a huge game for them that will ultimately determine how the rest of their season will play out. I see UK running away with this one pretty handily.
Pick: I am taking UK -5.
Washington @ Michigan

Very surprised the line is Michigan -6.5. Washington lost last week to an FCS school. And now they are traveling to the big house where Harborough has surely heard rumblings that he may be on the hot seat if they don’t win some big games this year. And Michigan looked good enough last week and will look even better come this week. I think Michigan wins this game by 20+ points.
Pick: I am taking Michigan -6.5.
