I don’t want to come out and say this is a must have week for me. But I think it truly might be. Looking to really get ahead this week and I have a feeling I may come out and be perfect. Tightening up the board this week with only 5 games, but these are 5 games I have a whole lot of confidence in. And you know we have to go for the homerun shots with the parlay and a big moneyline parlay as well.
Game
Wisconsin vs. Notre Dame
Time (ET)
12:00pm
While Notre Dame has been tested in nearly every game and come through with a win. They are meh. Coming away with an overtime victory against a Florida State team is starting to look worse and worse for the Irish. And this week, they are up against a Wisconsin team that boats the nations Number 2 in total defense AND their offense leads in time of possession at holding the ball for 41 minutes a game. The one thing that worries me about Wisconsin is their QB because he looked absolutely AWFUL against Penn State in Week 1.
Pick: I’m taking Wisconsin -6.
Clemson @ NC State
3:30pm
Holy cow where do I even start. As an admitted Clemson fan I have a lot to say but I will keep it short. The Clemson Offense has looked about as good as your local high schools offense. I will stand on top of the hill and scream that Offensive Coordinator Tony Elliott needs to go and should’ve been fired yesterday. As bad as the offense has looked, the defense has been playing lights out. The only defense in the country who hasn’t given up an offensive touchdown yet either so keep that note in your back pocket. While NC State is suppose to have more offensive firepower than ever this year, they did not look very put together against Mississippi State only scoring 10 points. I am actually quite nervous for this game, but I do believe Clemson comes out on top in an absolute slugfest. Honestly the score may be 9-6 Clemson at the end.
Pick: I am taking Under 47.5.
Kentucky @ South Carolina
7:00pm
Kentucky has had Carolina’s number winning the past 6 out of 7. However, this week Kentucky really has to buckle down and play their best ball. If they can play a game with 0 turnovers, they will win this game. Kentucky is averaging 476 yards a game and the offense is just begging to play a good clean game. They should be totally locked in under the lights in Columbia. While Kentucky did have a scare as FCS opponent Chattanooga last week. South Carolina has also had their share of troubles so far this year so don’t think I am letting them off the hook either. Narrowly escaping in a win against Eastern Carolina. USC is also starting Luke Doty at quarterback, his first start at QB this season in a high pressure situation. I love a new quarterback against a solid defense in a big game. Should be a fun one to watch but I’m riding with the Cats.
Pick: I am taking Kentucky -5.5.
Nebraska @ Michigan State
7:00pm
Michigan State is coming into this week after a big win over Miami. They are looking about as sharp as anyone on offense and they are extremely well balanced, keeping defenses guessing. Nebraska on the other hand has not looked good at all. Michigan State is firing on all cylinders and there is no chance they let a sorry Nebraska team spoil their fun at home under the lights. Michigan State wins this game by 20+ points but thank goodness the line is only at 5.
Pick: I am taking Michigan State -5.
West Virginia @ Oklahoma
7:30pm
Pretty much my upset pick of the week here. Oklahoma has just not looked good at all in these first few weeks. These close games are going to catch up with them at some point and I have absolutely 0 faith in Oklahoma to win any kind of big game. And with an experienced West Virginia team coming in to town, I believe this is the week. West Virginia was able to get things going last week and win a big game against ranked Virginia Tech. While Oklahoma won a tight game against an awful Nebraska team 23-16. Give me the Mountaineers coming away and shocking the world!
Pick: I am taking West Virginia +16.5 and ML.
Liberty @ Syracuse
8:00pm
This is as simple and easy as picks get to me right here. Syracuse is an awful team and Liberty was one of the most electric and fun teams to watch last year. Speaking of last year, Liberty shocked Syracuse last year winning the contest 38-21. And Syracuse has only gotten worse while Liberty has only gotten better since their meeting last year. Liberty last year finished the season beating Coastal Carolina by 3 in overtime, and in their 3 games this year, have won by a combined 77 points. Syracuse has beaten Ohio, lost to Rutgers, and then beat a winless Albany team. The -6 line for Liberty is a shocker because I think Liberty rolls in this one.
Pick: I am taking Liberty -6.
